AIAC September Sports Week 2022 - An Ecosystem of Sports: Organising an International Sporting Event
The AIAC in partnership with the Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) is proud to welcome you to our very first special interactive session titled, “An Ecosystem of Sports: Organising an International Sporting Event”.
The session will bring together influential voices and leaders of climate action and sustainability, with different specialities.

This segment of the AIAC’s Sports Week is held in conjunction with Malaysia being crowned as the host country for the upcoming SEA Games 2027. The expert panel of prominent figures will include, HRH Tunku Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Imran ibni Almarhum Tuanku Ja’afar al-Haj (Former President, Olympic Council of Malaysia), Ms. Michelle Chai (Chief Operating Officer, Olympic Council of Malaysia), Dato’ M. Rajasekaran (Managing Partner, Messrs. Rajasekaran), Mr. Karu Selvaratnam (Former President, Malaysian Olympians Association) and Mr. Ahmad Faedzal bin Md. Ramli (CEO, Institut Sukan Negara).
They will delve into Malaysia’s plans for a sustainable sporting event and discuss the necessary logistical requirements that must be considered in hosting an international event as such, including the setting up of an ad hoc dispute resolution committee. The session will be moderated by Ms. Lesley Lim (Partner, MahWengKwai & Associates).
After the session, there will be an exclusive tour of the OCM’s Sports Museum and Hall of Fame that is not to be missed!
