The AIAC Academy in collaboration with CIArb Malaysia Branch is pleased to share the seventh session of the Arbitration-In-Practice (AIP) Workshop titled, “Drafting Awards & Enforcement” which is scheduled on:

The esteemed panel of speakers, namely Mr. Peter Godwin (Herbert Smith Freehills), Mr. Belden Premaraj (Belden Advocates & Solicitors) and Ms. Brenda Horrigan (Brenda Horrigan) will explore some of the important matters relating to drafting of an arbitral award as well as the enforcement of an arbitral award. The session will also explore the various forms of awards, guides to interpretating an award as well as making corrections, and delivering additional award (if necessary). The panel will also delve on some of the common grounds for enforcement and setting aside of an award. An AIAC case counsel will then conclude the lecture with an overview of the AIAC’s technical review process.
The speakers will be assisted by experienced tutors, namely Dato’ Mureli Navaratnam (Messrs Mureli Navaratnam), Dato’ Sunil Abraham (Cecil Abraham & Partners) and Mr. Daniel Tan (Messrs Tan Chun Hao) for the tutorial session.
