ADR Online - An AIAC Webinar Series - The Future of Investment Arbitration: The ICSID Rules and Regulations Amendments
The ongoing extensive amendments to the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (“ICSID”) Rules & Regulations mark the fourth time in history that the framework is being updated. The amendments are highly driven and influenced by the dynamism of contemporary investment arbitration case law, which include in particular, cases administered by the ICSID. Topical issues such as the transparency of arbitral proceedings, third party funding, and time and cost efficiency, amongst others, are presently being addressed in the amendments.
In this webinar, the panel speakers include: Ms. Meg Kinnear, Secretary-General of ICSID, Mr. Monty Taylor, Partner of Arnold & Porter, and Mr. Daniel Chua, Associate of Herbert Smith Freehills LLP. The panellists will explain the history of the ICSID Rules & Regulations, key amendments made thereto, as well as what these amendments will hold for the future of investment arbitration across the globe.
This session will be moderated by Ms. Irene Mira, International Case Counsel of the AIAC.
