Driving Forces Behind Belt & Road Initiative
The AIAC is proud to bring to you a seminar jointly organised by China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) and Malaysia China Legal Cooperation Society - Driving Forces Behind Belt & Road Initiative, on 13th August 2019 (Tuesday).
Also known as the "New Silk Road", the Belt & Road Initiative ("BRI") has garned attention worldwide as an ambitious trade and investment plan across Asia, Europe and Africa. Spanning across 65 countries, there are significant opportunities in investment for both Malaysian and Chinese businesses. With over 100 bilateral treaties between China and countries along the BRI, this industry dialogue aims to breakdown the legal barriers in seizing opportunities along the route and considers the role of arbitration to resolve disputes arising in the BRI.
